Key points

  • We only collect what you provide yourself through the "Contact" form or the calculator - your name, email, Telegram, and project description - plus basic technical data about your visit to the site.
  • We do not sell or transfer your data to third parties for advertising purposes.
  • Payment details are processed directly by the payment system or bank - the website does not receive or store them.
  • At any time, you can request what data we hold about you and ask for it to be deleted - simply write to us.
  • If we make material changes to this document, we will update the date at the top of the page.

1. General Provisions

HiceDev (hereinafter, the "studio", "we") develops websites, mobile and desktop applications, backend systems, and design, and provides ASO and SEO services. This document describes the terms of use for the website hicedev.com (hereinafter, the "site") and how we process the data of its visitors and clients ("you").

By using the site - browsing its sections, submitting a request through the "Contact" form, or using the cost calculator - you agree to the terms set out below. If any of this does not suit you, please do not use the site and contact us directly to discuss your project another way.

2. What Data We Collect

Data you provide yourself - when filling out the form in the "Contact" section or the cost calculator:

  • name
  • email and/or Telegram contact
  • message text and project details

We do not request special categories of data through the site - such as health information, biometric data, passport details, or card information.

Data collected automatically when you visit the site:

  • technical characteristics of your device and browser, operating system, interface language
  • IP address and the approximate location derived from it
  • the page you arrived from, which sections of the site you visited, and when
  • cookies and similar technologies - see Section 8 for details

3. How and Why We Process Data

  • to respond to your request, discuss the task, and prepare a cost estimate
  • to move the project forward - correspondence, milestone approvals, post-release support
  • to maintain the security of the site and prevent abuse
  • to understand which sections and areas interest visitors and to improve the site
  • to comply with legal requirements where necessary

4. Legal Basis for Processing

Depending on the situation, we rely on one of the following legal bases:

  • your consent - given by submitting a form on the site; it can be withdrawn at any time by writing to us, which does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal
  • performance of a contract - if you have become a client and we have agreed on the project terms
  • legitimate interest - maintaining the operation and security of the site, responding to incoming inquiries
  • legal obligation - if the disclosure or retention of data is directly required by law

If you are located in the EU, the UK, or another country with its own data protection regulations, you have the rights described in Section 9, to the extent provided by the laws of your country.

5. When and With Whom We Share Data

  • with services that support the operation of the site and communication with you: hosting provider, email service, Telegram, and Google Analytics - to the extent necessary for their operation
  • with payment systems and banks when paying for a project - they process payment details directly and under their own privacy policies; the studio does not store or see them
  • if directly required by law or necessary to protect our legitimate interests
  • in the event of a studio reorganization (merger, sale of the business) - with the successor bound by the same data protection obligations

We do not sell personal data to third parties or transfer it for advertising purposes.

6. How Long We Retain Data

  • request data - for as long as the project is under discussion, and if you become a client, throughout the collaboration and for the document retention period required by law
  • if the project does not go ahead, we delete or anonymize the request data within a reasonable time
  • technical and cookie data is retained for a limited time, generally no longer than a few months

7. How We Protect Data

We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data from unauthorized access, alteration, or loss. That said, no method of transmitting or storing data over the internet can be guaranteed 100% secure - if you become aware of a security breach related to the site, please let us know.

8. Cookies, Local Storage and Do Not Track

The site does not use cookies for advertising or cross-site tracking. After your explicit consent in the cookie banner, we use Google Analytics 4 to analyse traffic: it receives information about your device and browser, pages visited, referral source, IP address, and approximate location. Google Analytics is not loaded before consent.

To support a few features, the site stores small technical data in your browser's local storage: your choice from the cookie banner, and - if you used it - your contact details and message history from the online chat widget, so they survive a page reload. This data stays on your device only, is not sent to us as a "cookie", and cannot be read by other websites.

One technical cookie is used only to sign in to the studio's internal admin panel - regular site visitors never receive it.

You can clear cookies and local storage in your browser settings at any time - this will not restrict access to the site's content, but it will reset your saved banner choice and chat history.

There is currently no unified Do Not Track signal standard, so the site does not respond to it separately; if such a standard is adopted, we will update this section.

9. Your Rights

Depending on your country of residence, you may have the right to:

  • find out what data we hold about you and receive a copy of it
  • request correction of inaccurate data
  • request deletion of data
  • restrict or object to processing
  • withdraw consent at any time
  • opt out of communications not directly related to an already-started project

To exercise any of these rights, write to us - contact details are in Section 14. If you are located in the EU, the UK, or Switzerland and believe we have violated your rights, you may also contact your country's data protection supervisory authority.

10. Children

The site and the studio's services are not intended for individuals under 16 years of age, and we do not knowingly collect data from such users. If you become aware that a child has provided us with their data, please write to us and we will delete it.

11. Terms of Site Use and Intellectual Property

The site's materials - text, design, graphics, and front-end source code - belong to HiceDev or are used with the permission of the rights holders and are protected by copyright law. Copying or commercial use without the studio's consent is not permitted.

Case studies in the "Portfolio" section are published with clients' consent; names, metrics, and descriptions may be generalized to comply with NDAs.

Rights to the results of development work on a specific project (code, design, game assets, and so on) are governed by the agreement with the client and transfer to the client as agreed by the parties - this document does not replace the terms of such an agreement.

It is prohibited to use the site for actions that disrupt its operation: automated data collection (scraping), attempts at unauthorized access, or the distribution of malicious code.

12. Limitation of Liability

The site and its content are provided "as is". We strive to keep the site in good working order but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation and are not liable for indirect losses arising from use of the site, except where expressly provided by law.

13. Changes to This Document

We may update the terms of use and privacy policy - for example, when new sections or services appear on the site. The current version is always available at this address; the date of the last update is shown at the top of the page.

14. Contact

For any questions related to this document, the processing of your data, or how to exercise the rights described in Section 9, write to info@hicedev.com or on Telegram @hicedev - we respond within one business day.
